The school was the brainchild of Dr Bruce Jenkins, whose daughter Linsey Jenkins was the first child to be enrolled; the Jeffery family and the Hill families. Although the desire was to extend the lease with the National Institute for the Deaf, this was not possible as they had earmarked the property for development. These buildings will serve the school well over the coming four to five years. There is development underway for the development of a capital fund which will allow the school to purchase and develop its own land in the future. We believe that this is essential as the school continues to grow and develop.
