Set in a lovely well-established water-wise garden shared with the main residence of the property, it offers guest privacy and tranquility. The open-plan cottage features a comfortable queen size bed with mosquito net, an old fashioned wood burning Dover stove fireplace for winter warmth, a cosy sitting area with good lighting for reading or romance, a well-equipped kitchenette with microwave and small convection oven and an en-suite bathroom with bath, basin and toilet. A sheltered outdoor shower across the garden with hot water and beautiful views is available for guest use. Karoo Cottage is purposefully not equipped with a TV but has a small CD player and a selection of CDs for some background mood music, and a few fun board games. Being an historical village with some good eating places and pubs and just 20 minutes driving from Robertson and the many surrounding wine estates, there is no shortage of things to do during your stay at Karoo Cottage. If complete rest is the order of the day, braai on the creeper covered cottage patio in the Weber Kettle Braai provided (please bring your own charcoal or briquettes), alternatively enjoy the rustic open braai area across the garden, selecting wood from the woodpile. Shady nooks in the garden for reclining, reading or some entertaining birdwatching and an inviting salt water pool are yours to enjoy.
