DCR Regatta Point and Lake Quinsigamond has a 2,000 meter rowing course that is internationally recognized as one of the best courses in the world! We are proud to be hosting the first annual Worcester Dragon Boat Festival at DCR Regatta Point and Lake Quinsigamond and hope to see it grow into a yearly tradition that becomes a part of the community here in Worcester County for generations to come. A dragon boat is a large canoe style boat that is decorated like a dragon. It’s made with fiberglass and measures about 46’ long. Anyone 15 and older can participate in a dragon boat race, just get a team together. No experience necessary, we will teach you everything you need to know and offer practice times too! Corporate teams, groups of friends, family and co-workers, club and professional teams are all welcome! All paddling equipment & PFDs are provided and your team will participate in at least two 250 meter races. No, there is no alcohol allowed at DCR Regatta Point and Lake Quinsigamond. (Larger tents require a permit that would need to be obtained ahead of the race day.)
